[Online] Mindfulness Circle

Adults meet weekly in an online meeting room to watch an episode of Practicing Mindfulness: An Introduction to Meditation, one of the Great Courses available through Kanopy. Library staff will use the Kosmi app to share the streaming video through an online meeting room. The online meeting room also has chat capabilities for participants to ask and answer questions, share related information and personal experiences, and be part of a group learning about the practice of mindfulness.

This mindfulness circle might be of interest if you’d like a way to connect with others interested in learning about mindfulness or if you'd like to make a commitment to working through the course content in a steady way, week-by-week. 

  • In June, the group will start with an introduction session, then work through episodes 1-4. 
  • In July, the group will continue with episodes 5-8.
  • In August, the group will continue with episodes 9-12

Please note that participants will require an Internet connection with download speeds that support streaming video.

Please register and Adult Services Librarian Thea Hart will email you a link each week to participate. All are welcome! Participants may join the group at any point during the summer—email to receive the links to participate each week if registration has closed.
