Diverse Reads Book Group (online)

Description

Diverse Reads is a new monthly reading group hosted online by Cedar Mill Community. Join a community of readers in exploring and discussing a variety of written works, including short stories, nonfiction, poetry and fiction that fairly represents the perspective of marginalized groups. Selections will seek to embrace diversity in its many forms.

Discussions will take place via Zoom at 6:30 p.m. on the 3rd Thursday of the month. Register for the sessions to receive the Zoom link.



April 15, 6:30-8:00 pm

Asian American Voices
2 essays and 1 short story that speak to Asian American experiences, written by two poets and a musician

May 20, 6:30-8:00 pm

Queer Literature
3 short stories that present a diverse cross-section of queer lives.**

**The reading list will be updated three weeks prior to book group meeting
