Learn about a compelling period of Oregon’s history from professor Kimberly Jensen, author of the new book, Oregon's Others: Gender, Civil Liberties, and the Surveillance State in the Early Twentieth Century. She will share stories of women from that era who resisted the restrictions to their civil liberties. Their fierce determination to maintain their rights and freedoms fueled movements for human rights that still reverberate today.

Kimberly Jensen is professor of history and gender studies at Western Oregon University and author of Oregon’s Doctor to the World: Esther Pohl Lovejoy and a Life in Activism and Mobilizing Minerva: American Women in the First World War.
