The AARP Tax-Aide program, administered by the AARP Foundation® in cooperation with the IRS, provides free income tax assistance to all eligible taxpayers, regardless of age or income level.Trained volunteers are available to prepare and e-file your Federal and Oregon personal income tax returns every Wednesday from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm in the Rogers Room.
Appointments are required and can be booked online or by calling 971-770-1520 and leaving a message. (You must have access to a cell phone capable of sending and receiving texts.)
Be sure to bring the following to your appointment:
- Completed Intake/Interview and Quality Review Sheet (copies are available at the library)
- Government issued photo ID - driver’s license or passport - for each of the taxpayer(s) on the return
- Social Security cards or ITINs for any people listed on your return, including all dependents
- All of your 2025 tax documents
- Your 2024 tax return, if available
Volunteers cannot help you if you:
- Sold/exchanged any digital assets in 2025 (OK if you bought and held)
- Have a business with employees, inventory, net loss, or total expenses over $50,000 or have income from a hobby.
- Want to file Married Filing Separately.
- Have any rental income other than from undeveloped land with no structures.
- Have a bankruptcy or home foreclosure in 2025.
