Gia is not looking forward to the arrival of "that ding-dang baby!" Her mama knows just how to make sure she still feels special and loved.

That ding-dang baby! This story is really cute. Honest and funny. But the illustrations are kinda weird. Some of the heads seem way too big for their bodies. And what’s up with the blond kid wearing a suit and bow-tie to jump rope? I doubt kids will care about my nit-pickings, and the story is so great I still recommend it to caregivers and kids—especially those who are themselves reluctant to the idea that bringing a new ding-dang baby into their lives is such a joy. Two stars for illustrations; five stars for text.

What a great story! Really captures the feelings of a jealous only child about to become an older sister.

Sweet tale of a girl who's not looking forward to a new sibling.

Refreshingly realistic take on dealing with a child while the mom is expecting. Honest and heartfelt depiction of a single mom and child and how they both know that their relationship is going to experience a loss with the addition of the soon to be new born.
