An energetic look at contemporary Mexico through it's music and politics. This is the kind of movie we need to see about our neighbors to the south.

Great insight into modern culture in mexico told through the arts. Some of it was weird -but it was very enjoyable.

What a great film experience! Best I've had in some time; and I watch/explore a lot.

I learned a lot about our close neighbor Mexico and thoroughly enjoyed the many types of music used in the film.

Found it a bit by accident at KCLS because it had a brief cameo by Mexican singer/musician Lila Downs and was included when I did a catalog search on her so I put a hold on it.

Good job KCLS!

This film encompasses most of the insides of what it means to come from Mexico (most notably Mexico City). We in the U.S. almost entirely fail to understand the richness and culture of our southern neighbors, and this artistic documentary gives a good glimpse of what that is. Filled with poetry, music, spirituality and politics, of what keeps Mexico so vibrant, often backed only by itself.
