Based on the real life letters of one of the primary characters, this is an interesting story about the manners and society of the English in the Victorian era. This novel will take you on a trip to Egypt were the cultures of two very different countries become intertwined. I thought this was a very pleasant book to listen to.

Just listening to the excerpt I could not endure the voice for an entire book.
