I loved this book and read it in one day. I loved the family dynamics, the suspense, and the hint of romance. It will be interesting to see where Carly goes in the next book.

I almost put the book down - in the beginning her life is pretty sad - but so glad I kept reading. It picks up and I'm devouring the rest of the series. Just as good as the Janet Evanovich Stephanie Plum series. Enjoy!

Good book. I liked the first one better. This one definitely felt like a sequel and one that leads to another sequel. It was left with big what ifs. I guess it would be a good idea to have the third one waiting when you finish this one.

easy read, intresting story, but found alot of repeating in each chapter about what happend in the chaper before. Found my self feeling like I was wasteing my time reading something that I already knew that happend 5 pages back.

This series is very enjoyable. A good mix of humor, mystery, and sexual attraction. I love it when a book makes you LOL!
I have not completed the series yet, but I can't wait to see who Carlotta chooses!

Really good murder mystery. It is different than some of the others, involves brother and sister. Funny and suspenseful.

Having parents involved in white-collar crime skip town AND skip out on their children made life for teenager Carlotta Wren difficult. Dumped by her high-society fiancé to avoid bringing scandal to his family, Carly struggles to cope with the double loss. Forgoing college to raise her nine year old brother Wesley, Carly takes a retail job at Neiman Marcus. Ten years later, still single and looking after her brother, Carly barely makes ends meet. A hefty portion of her commission comes from a customer who happens to be her former fiancé's wife, who ends up dead after having a confrontation with Carly, who then becomes the prime suspect in her murder. In the meantime, Wesley's gambling brings around his loan sharks and his computer hacking puts him in trouble with the law. These events bring several new problems to Carly's doorstep; a handsome detective, Wesley's sexy new boss, and newly widowed ex-fiancé Peter. She's far from ready for the sudden surge of attention.
