I resisted starting Stephen King's Cell mostly because cell phones have evolved so much since 2006, as has our relationship to them. What was once a new and feared gadget is now more common than ever. (Seriously, it's only a matter of time before we think of ourselves as cyborgs, and not in a sarcastic way.) And King's a bit of a technophobe, at least in his stories, so I thought whatever anxieties cell phones caused 10 years ago would be so much worse today. Also, I'm not really into zombies so there's that too.
Turns out most of my initial impressions were unfounded. Cell is a fun, post-apocalyptic adventure. Give it a try.
I hated the ending! Sounded like a 'Cell 2" coming soon .
Sometimes King just goes on and on and on close to the end of his books. The book was OK.
It is a fantastic four story about novena and James,. That is all,. Thanks,. James Rebeiro.
It's epic moment is very good but written in French language with English Monogram, so that everyone of us go to heaven and become Jesus's son & daughter,. at last we think of Heaven and last procure comes to end lebu and thus go to solemn duty,. and bird & beauty soon come to us and we get resuraction,. James Rebeiro,. Thanks,.
Gory. Not his best. Some moments of suspense but the ending is a fizzle.
Great premise, interesting story, good characters, and then it all falls apart and gets incredibly boring and stupid.
Seemed too predictable. Didnt enjoy it.
Excellent! One of my favourites! When my cellphone died, I didn't get another...this book makes you wonder. hmmm
An excellent book. I wish that we had gotten to find out what happened at the ending with his son but it was still awesome. Just read it.
Good book, always enjoy SK's writing. Could not put the book down.
Classic Stephen King. Loved every page of it!
