I have enjoyed all of the books of Ms Putney's that I have read. I wasn't sure if I was going to like this as I assumed Ms Putney's forte was historical novels.

She hit it out of the park with this one. The development of her characters almost through a process of adding one more piece to the collage building in the reader's mind was effective. Her powerful look into our Marley's chain of past experiences that we all haul around and the impact childhood experiences have throughout life are very good.

I was sorry when it ended.
