During the opening credits sequence, General Thaddeus "Thunderbolt" Ross (William Hurt) meets with Dr. Bruce Banner (Edward Norton), the colleague and lover of his daughter Betty (Liv Tyler), regarding an experiment, Ross says, to make humans immune to gamma radiation. The experiment, which in truth is part of an operation Ross hopes will restart Dr. Abraham Erskine's failed "super soldier" program that created Captain America, fails, transforming Banner into the Hulk (voiced by Lou Ferrigno) whenever Banner becomes angry. As the Hulk, he destroys the lab and injures Betty. Afterwards he flees, becoming a fugitive from the United States Armed Forces.

Entertaining for an evening, no deep thinking just smash.
It was... Okay. I was really confused in the beginning, as it just shows images, or at most, brief scenes. I didn't even know who Bruce was for at least the first ten minutes!
I wish I could give this a higher rating. Hulk is actually one of my favorite avengers, but this movie simply doesn't cut it.
this features Ed Norton as the hero/ monster Hulk. He sort of laughs about his characterization at industry gatherings, I think because other actors went on to play the green superhero. this is another way of saying Norton---for whatever reason---didn't make the cut for the later, ensemble, Avengers films. I was impressed with the villain as played by Tim Roth. He seemed to have a shot to overcome the hero. William Hurt plays a supporting role, ably. This is an above average superhero flick. Expect computer animation, and explosions galore.
By far, the turd of the MCU. Great actors, but Marvel obviously didn't have the right ideas yet for the Hulk. Really bad.
Boring story, bland acting, overblown fight scenes. I can see why this is the black sheep of the MCU.
The Incredible Hulk (DVD) (2008) The Incredible Hulk movie started off Bruce Banner in a lab getting the Hulk put into him and I have not seen any of the other Hulk movies just this one but I know that there is allot of Hulk movies out there that are NOT cannon in the MCU. In fact these Hulk movies has more reboots then the Spider-Man movies had. But back to this film I like the post credit seen only it's not even a post credit seen because it shown to us before any END credits show up that I like because it sucks waiting for the end credits and know the deal. But no recaps I was told not to do that so its really hard not give spoilers all thought I do it when comparing it to other content most of the time. Because we know who Hulk is. It's when a lot of reboots happen and we already know the character so we don't need to see the origin ALL over again but it was good to see in the opening credits just gives us something to see as where looking at whos playing who. My over all rating for this movie is out of 5 stars is 4 because let me explain you know how they do all this reboots slash and or due overs that's what happen with this movie so the actor who played can't remember his name but he got replaced with Mark Ruffalo(In Avengers 1)because Tony from the last movie came in to the bar it's just a random bar not really important to the story that's just where the ending was. That means was cannon to the MCU so more re dues for the hulk movies any more and that's why this movie was given bad reviews but I would recommend it if dose not bother me since it was just one movie so that's my opinion but when Amazing Spider-Man 3 (and maybe 4) got canceled that's a different story. @Ribjaw24 of the Teen Review Board at the Hamilton Public Library
The Incredible Hulk is one of the first movies taking place in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Bruce Banner is a scientist desperately seeking a cure for the gamma radiation that is in his cells and turns him into the mighty green giant, The Hulk. He was ripped away from his true love, Betty Ross, and forced to hide from his nemesis, General Thunderbolt Ross. Soon, Bruce Banner comes face-to-face a supremely powerful evil powerhouse known as The Abomination. If you were a fan of the Marvel Comics, The Hulks story, or any of the Marvel movies, I would recommend watching The Incredible Hulk. The Hulk’s story is definitely an important part of his character but you do not have to watch this movie before any other Marvel movie to understand Bruce Banner. The movie is definitely more serious, however it is a good movie for people of all ages to enjoy. Even though this movie is brushed aside compared to the rest of Marvel’s movies, I would take the time to watch it. Overall, if I had to rate The Incredible Hulk movie, I would rate it four out of five stars. @Sapphirereads of the Hamilton Public Library Teen Review Board
While this movie feels more true to the comics than perhaps any Marvel movie so far, it feels like it's lacking personality. It's definitely not the worst movie I've seen but it was boring and difficult to get through. I definitely prefer Mark Ruffalo as the Hulk.
It was okay.
It's not a bad movie. The battle at the end is good and the action is nicely spread out throughout the film. Yes, this is part of the MCU. SHIELD is mentioned and Tony Stark makes an appearance at the end. Not the greatest Marvel film but it's not terrible.
