I think ultimately it was just too long and drawn out. Certain scenes annoying and over done. But a good film overall.

"A relativistic perspective becomes me, as I recant the influence of this movie (even more being that Ray Allen played on the same team as the subject of interest.). It's just seems like the story of NBA superstar LeBron James, yet LeBron chose to go straight to the NBA, which dissents from the decision made by [Jesus Shuttlesworth]. I guess it would actually apply to a lot of hopefuls who are seeking a basketball career (Kobe Bryant like LeBron James chose the 'straight to the NBA' route. However, the NBA contemporarily stopped the drafting of high school players into the NBA. College is now a necessity.).

Well done movie, like all of Spike Lee's, but I don't consider it his best film. That's the trouble with competing against yourself, i,e. Hitchcock, Woody Allen ... all great directors suffer from that fate. Nicely written, great direction, interesting camera shots, Denzel Washington (Ray Allen also does a nice job) the film has it all.
