Ok but plot not quite convincing and wouldn’t make much sense if Leo wasn’t half mad.
Why is something that has been going on for so long suddenly come to head brazenly now? No one put 2+2 before?
Last battle is contrived.

Jane's perception of her world as a complicated place, since she shares it with Beast. And she is still working to complete her contract with the Master of the City on New Orleans...and he is bordering on more psychotic than usual since Jane killed the rogue being (I could name it, but it would spoil the fun if you haven't read book 1.) And we meet her friend Molly and her kids.

Jane learns more about her Cherokee heritage, finds the source of the threat to the social hierarchy of the vampire community, creator of the rogue vampire population expansion and finally identifies the party(ies) responsible for the disappearances of witch children.

Cool & lethal Marine friends, too!
