I love all the ideas in this book. It suits very well for my 7-yr-old son. Highly recommend this book for curious minds.

Awesome experiments made me want to go home and put on my safety goggles. Excellent ideas and great illustrations make science fun and easy to understand, especially concepts like gravity, density, and even how to make your own water filter. Great for that time of year when you don't want to make an exploding volcano for science class...

If you are ready to "make" with a vengeance after the ConfabuLarryum, this is the book for you! A ton of great projects for kids--balloon rocket car, DIY bath fizzies, soap powered boats (the favorite in my own house)--all broken down into steps and well-illustrated with photographs. DK Publishing paired with The Smithsonian is a partnership made in heaven for children's books.
