Bought this at the very beginning of the COVID lockdown, and played for untold hours with my preteen daughter. It's cute and relaxing, and takes some of the edge off of not being able to be outside much.

Okay, but let's just be serious: Best. Game. EVER.
First of all, I've played for almost 700 hours now on ACNH alone. My only friends are the talking, digital animals that have been programmed into a game. Every day, I log on to new items in the Nook's Cranny, Able Sisters, and Nook Miles Program. I've collected all the fossils, donated all the fish and bugs, upgraded everything, gotten a 5-Star island, decorated every single part of my island, gotten all the Golden Tools, AND collected all the DIY recipes, but I'm still not sick of this game. Even if you get COMPLETELY bored, you can always just restart and start from scratch. Please give Animal Crossing a chance; it's the only sane route in quarantine.

This is a great game if you like a game with great replayable value. It does follow real time so it doesn't really have much of a goal or an end, except for the "story" part where you build up the island from the ground up and gain new tools to customize the island. If you don't have a lot of patience you might find yourself being bored in the first few days or so. But, if you are okay with that and love customizing, this is perfect for you. There are tons of customizing features in this game whether it's interior decorating or outdoor decorating as well as designing clothes and furniture. But there is a downside and that is that if you have family members or friends who share the same Nintendo Switch as you do, you will have to share an island. That means that whatever you do to the island, the other will also experience. If you don't want your sibling or friend to mess up the hard work you have spent decorating, this is a warning you should keep in mind if you share an island with another person. But if you are okay with sharing or play on your own, this should not be a problem. Overall, this is a great game and I definitely recommend it.
