There were a few things that resonated for me from this book: the fires in Santa Rosa, California - my hometown and the week I spent trying to track my family during the evacuations; her quote from the Dalai Lama, " religion is like going out to dinner with friends. Everyone may order something different, but everyone can still sit at the same table." This is something we need more of in our world - basic respect for differing beliefs at a shared table.; the benefit of play in our lives; and finally Bob Ross from the Joy of Painting that the mistake we just made can become a bird - it's all good.
